Is Credit Card Information Secure?

We care about the safety and security of your transaction. Companies we work with to process credit card transactions use high grade encryption and security protocols. All your credit card information is not kept after the transaction is complete and the information is never sent to TheSitterCenter.com or any of our employees. All information is processed at PayPal.com.

At TheSitterCenter.com we do not share any information other that what is disclosed on the website for purpose of finding a sitter, locating a business or for sitters to get job calls and e-mails.

Refunds:

TheSitterCenter.com does not offer refunds due to the fact that this is an informational site and the user is the one who makes the decision as to who and if to hire a sitter. We only provide you the means to find a sitter or to help a sitter find a potential job.

Can I add my photo to my profile?:

No, there are two reasons TheSitterCenter.com has decided not to include photos of sitters.

 , ,  One is safety: we don’t want any potential predators thinking this is a good site to view young ladies etc. That is part of the reason for the membership fee also. There is always the possibility of a predator posing as a parent but we hope we have deterred them enough to stay away. Please always be safe.

 , ,  Two: we don’t like the idea of anyone being judged by his or her looks and not everyone takes a great picture. At TheSitterCenter.com we want everyone to have an equal chance at a job.

Why do I have to pay a fee?:

Sitters pay a fee to help keep only those that are really interested in working. We don’t want parents coming to the site finding sitters they are interested in only to find them on the site because “why not, it’s free”. It is extremely inexpensive advertising for the sitters.

Families pay a membership to help keep the site safe as mentioned above in the “Can I add my photo” question. TheSitterCenter.com also spends a lot of money for keeping the site online and on advertising to acquire sitters for the families.

Why can’t I make my own profile and password?:

Right now while this site is getting its feet on the ground we chose to make them for you. This gives us an opportunity to gently screen entries to help keep out unwanted posts on the site. We want this to be a safe and family friendly site.

How long does it take to get my profile online?

A TheSitterCenter.com editor reviews all profiles before being posted. This help keep multiple post down and any questions families might have about your profile we can ask you first. Of course we will help check your spelling with out altering your content.
